We Bring Them Back to Quarna: From Tradition to the Future of Wind Instruments
News! The museum of wind instruments has become even more interesting and educational. Now you can admire not only the beautiful displayed objects such as clarinets, oboes, saxophones, and brass wind instruments, but also listen to their sounds and receive a wealth of explanations and information through an audio guide.
The experience is unforgettable not only for musicians but also for those who are fascinated by music, the development of music, and musical instruments.
With CROWDFUNDING, the Museum Aims to Expand Its Collection of Historical and Identity-Defining Musical Instruments
The focus is particularly on instruments that were made in Quarna or by local quarnesian craftsmen.
Cultural activities in the field of wind instruments will also be expanded through study days, concerts, seminars, and masterclasses in collaboration with Quarna Musica.
Collaboration with the Liceo Musicale Gobetti will be strengthened for vocational training projects, as well as with the Conservatorio Cantelli in Novara for theses that address the history and technical development of wind instruments.
Relationships with national and international museums and institutions will be solidified, including the Museo degli Strumenti Musicali in Milan, the Museo del Saxofono in Fiumicino, the Musée des Instruments à Vent in France, and the International Adolphe Sax Association in Dinant.
Regional networks will be created with local cultural institutions in Omegna, the VCO, and Novara to promote the talents of the area and to increase visitor interest in the Museum, especially regarding unique exhibits like the Alessofono.
